Mia has been practicing yoga since 1999 in 2002 she did her first TT training at Jivamukti yoga with Sharon Gannon and David Life and from there she moved on to Ashtanga yoga. with Kristin Leigh and Barbara Verrochi at The Shala
Mia has also been taken yearly extended trips to India to study Ashtanga with Rolf and Marci Naujokat.
Mia worked close with Azahar.org a nonprofit dance and yoga organisation where her and Estelle Eishenberger (Yogeswari) brought yoga to orphanages in Cambodia teaching yoga there to children this is a continuing program.
In 2009 Mia found Iyengar yoga and she know from that moment she would never look back
Mia did the teacher training program at the New york Iyengar yoga institute and is a Certified Iyengar yoga teacher.
Mia travels yearly to India where she has been doing extended study in Pune with the Iyengar family and also spent time doing retreats and classes with Firooza Razvi and taking classes with Birjoo Mehta in Mumbai.
Mia seeks to build a solid foundation and teaches with attention to alignment and breath. Her classes will challenge your strength in a precise and deliberate manner and make the practice more dynamic and understandable. She welcomes all level of students and is attentive to their individual needs.
Mia main teachers has been Gabriella Giubilaro, Lucienne Vidah, Lara warren, and James Murphy.Today Mia attend weekly classes with Gabriella and assist her in her specific needs classes in Florence where she also teaches weekly classes.
